Son Of A Preacher Man

Son Of A PReacher MAn FI

Son Of A Preacher Man Son Of A Preacher Man tells the story of Three broken hearts, one Soho hang-out and the only man who could ever help them. Welcome to the Preacher Man, the swinging 1960s Soho joint where the kids danced the night away to the latest crazes and dared to dream of love, while the legendary owner, The Preacher Man himself, dispensed advice to cure the loneliest of hearts. Only, that was a long time ago and all that remains are the memories, the stories and the myths. Until now, that is, when three random strangers, generations apart but all in need of help with their hopeless love lives, are inexplicably drawn to the site of the original venue. The Preacher Man is long gone, but his son, with help from the wonderful Cappuccino Sisters, might just find it in himself to channel the spirit of The Preacher Man and once more give these three lovesick strangers the look of love.

the sparklingly funny and sweetly touching new musical played by internationally-renowned writer Warner Brown will have you laughing, crying and singing your heart out to some of the greatest songs ever written. Son Of A Preacher Man starring Diana Vickers, Debra Stephenson and Ian Reddington, Son Of A Preacher Man directed and choreographed by Strictly’s Craig Revel Horwood.

Isn’t it funny how our paths cross in some way or another?

The story revolves around three love-struck people: – Kat played by Diana Vickers who plays a teenage girl who’s lost her nan and on the lookout for love. her nan would visit A coffee vinyl shop called The Preacher Man.Alison played by Debra Stephenson, is a widow and to keep herself occupied she taught students and fell in love with one called Liam who also felt the same. – Paul played by Michael Howe who is a guy looking for an old crush, used to go there when he was 18 and Is looking for his long-lost gay lover. So each character has a link to the coffee shop, once called Preacher Man. advice is given what could poor Simon, played by Ian Reddington do to be put in a situation that he not been in for twenty years by keeping himself to himself. The owner of The Preacher Man was an all-around guy who gave advice, Son Of A Preacher Man was a sell-out The staging set-up was really pleasing, and the lighting and effects for ‘Dad are you there’ was incredible. The choreography and synchronised dancing had a fantastic effect in portraying love. Love does come in all forms! There were some amusing parts and I loved how they interacted with the audience. The vocals were amazing! I remember seeing Diana Vickers on X Factor in 2008 willing her to win with her husky voice, which was what made her unique, Debra Stephenson was one of my favourites in the TV show Bad Girls as the main bad bitch Shell Dockley! To see her switch roles from hard face to softer and loving was good and her singing was also fantastic. Son Of A Preacher Man brings out a lot of nostalgia, laughs and sad parts. 4-out-of-5-stars-rating
