Teletubbies: Tubby Snowball Christmas DVD [ review]

We was recently sent the new Teletubbies: Tubby Snowball Christmas DVD to review.

As expected arrives safe and unbroken when opening the package monkeys eyes lit up and let a shreak out of delight when setting her eyes on the cover.

Monkey is non-verbal and says few words, so to see her facial expressions light up was reassuring to know she wanted teletubbies on there and then, well 1 hour and 12 mins later of ahh and little giggles from time to time and oh ooh to noo-noo she loves noo-noo we have purchased a Hoover for her birthday as when she see it advertised on television she would go mad screaming at the screen. Pointing with excitement.

She hasn't been very well hand foot and mouth, so thankfully this review came at a fantastic time. She enjoyed watching it thoroughly and even mimicked some of the movements the Teletubbies did, the blowing of horn and sucking noises noo-noo makes.

Reassuring to know 10 years after Kk was born teletubbies still can mesmerise little ones with their baby in the sun, "ahhhhh" monkey says while patting her tummy as if to say (ahh baby).

Behind the scenes for grown ups: building the set

I think this is a very endearing DVD set to keep your little people amused and have that quite time for an hour or six- if your child like monkey likes repeatedly watching over and over. It will keep them quite, occupied and educational value.

Angry Birds Movie Review

angry birds

In this hilarious animated adventure comedy, you’ll finally find out why the birds are so angry. In an island paradise populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely, Red, a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck, and the volatile Bomb have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.

The setting was beautiful, lovely beach somewhere I know I wish I was currently being in London, UK you never know if you need a brolly or shorts or possibly BOTH.
So where was I? Oh yes, on a beach sipping a lovely cool beverage.
We first meet the character Red how cute he was as a baby and how hard he tried at his delivery job! Although not all is as it seems Red has a bit of a temper and it lands him in hot water!
You see Red was very much a one bird kind of bird, he liked his own company.
Getting into trouble due to his temper opened up somewhat of a different world Red just wasn't used to,
Watching the characters Red, chuck and bomb form a bond was lovely!
This really is a great film to show children who go through all emotions that are brung up and how possible one can see that there is a way around it and can be resolved.
I did have a giggle and yes a tear was shed, it's a brilliant film and the focus on Emotions I think is very good, well done Sony entertainment for trying to teach children feeling how they are, is normal and should be openly talked about.
Ive found a copy For the retail price of £10!
I managed to find it cheaper, if you want to bag
yourself a saving of £4.99?
Not bad and as this is an *affiliate link you'd be helping towards my Harry Potter collection, so thank you!!

Bridget Jones’s Baby Review

Bridget Jones’s Baby review

It’s been a while since Renee Zellweger’s graced our screens with her romcom ‘Bridget Jones Diary’ back in 2001

Blurb :
At the start of the New Year, 32-year-old Bridget (Renée Zellweger) decides it’s time to take control of her life — and start keeping a diary. Now, the most provocative, erotic and hysterical book on her bedside table is the one she’s writing. With a taste for adventure, and an opinion on every subject – from exercise to men to food to sex and everything in between – she’s turning the page on a whole new life.
My thoughts
Colin Firth and Hugh Grant battle for the heart of Bridge, how could you not like Mr Darcey? The Proper gentleman, I’d say.
If you haven’t seen it.. shame on you pause reading this and get that Chick flick out and get ready for a good giggle!
Film 2

Bridget Jones edge of reason 2004

The sequel to “Bridget Jones’s Diary” finds Bridget (Renée Zellweger) working as a TV host and still dating barrister Mark (Colin Firth). But Bridget is jealous of the time Mark spends with a co-worker (Jacinda Barrett), and, despite a vacation meant to smooth things over, ends their relationship. On assignment in Thailand, she has a dalliance with her disreputable ex, Daniel (Hugh Grant), and is temporarily jailed on the false accusation of drug smuggling, before Mark comes to the rescue.
My thoughts
For a sequel you often think no, please don’t ruin the credit from the first film, but it was so good and detailed with drugs sex and oh gosh prison but who comes to bridges rescue, Mr Darcy?
OMG THERES A 3rd Bridget Jones Baby

Blurb :
Breaking up with Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) leaves Bridget Jones (Renée Zellweger) over 40 and single again. Feeling that she has everything under control, Jones decides to focus on her career as a top news producer. Suddenly, her love life comes back from the dead when she meets a dashing and handsome American named Jack (Patrick Dempsey). Things couldn’t be better until Bridget discovers that she is pregnant. Now, the befuddled mom-to-be must figure out if the proud papa is Mark or Jack?
I have been lucky enough to be invited to a launch of the new Bridget Jones’s Baby newest film!
My thoughts:
When I was contacted to have a launch night of the new Bridget Jones’s with appetisers, main, dessert and a snack to have with the film who could refuse?
I was able to take a plus one, so I took along my sister.
We met in Prezzo for canapé and drinks to chatter with the other bloggers that came along.
I got to meet Greenwich mum you can find here
And Frenchie Mummy you can find here.
There was 6 of use in total.
When you hear starters and drink my first thought is bread cheese and crackers with a glass of wine?
How wrong was I?
Prezzo pulled out the stops and our waitress was lovely!
Detailed food
Four Flatbread 2 3 4Feeling rather stuffed, we made our way next door to Pizza Hut Resturant. Where we were to have our mains. Once seated we ordered our drinks, can I say Pizza Hut do an amazing cream soda, tasted delicious!
As we were chatting, I was waiting for the menu when seven yes seven pizzas arrived. We all looked at each other in shock mainly because we were stuffed from Prezzo.
It was lovely how well looked after we were while still able to talk about what we expected from the 3rd instalment of Bridget Jones.
Some thought that Jones and Darcy were hitched, sadly not.
We made our way to the VIP cinema entrance which had comfy seats and space to move around.
As soon as Bridget appears on the screen cupcake in hand singing happy birthday everyone was on the floor crying with laughter.
I genuinely thought they couldn’t top the second film but wow was I wrong!
The film was fantastic not, and Emma Thompson was enlisted as Bridget Jones’s obstetrician and does she play a bloody brilliant part. I’m Never disappointed when Emma Thompson is in a film.
Once Again you follow the ups and downs of the complicated life that is Bridge and Without giving it all away, you obviously know by the movie title she ends up pregnant and doesn’t know who the father is.
Through the pregnancy, she is finding it hard, and her heart is torn, but deep down you can see who she wants!
You must watch to see if She gets her happy ever after or ends up a single mum.
I would give this a top rating of 5 stars
Thank you for coming back

The Wolverine 3D

In 1945, Logan is a prisoner in a Japanese POW camp near Nagasaki. When the Americans drop the atomic bomb, he rescues the life of an officer named Yashida.

In the present day, Logan lives as a hermit in the Canadian wilderness, tormented by hallucinations of Jean Grey, whom he was forced to kill in the previous film. One day, during a bar-fight with some hunters, he is located by Yukio, a woman with mutant powers enabling her to forsee people’s deaths, representing Yashida, now the CEO of a technology corporation, who is dying of cancer. Yashida wants Logan to accompany Yukio to Japan to repay his life debt.

In Tokyo, Logan meets Yashida’s sonShingen and Shingen’s daughter, Mariko. Yashida offers to conduct a transplant, removing Logan’s immortality and transferring it to himself. Logan refuses and prepares to leave the following day. That night, while Logan dreams of Jean, Yashida’s doctor, the mutant Viper, injects a robotic parasite in Logan’s system, which affects his healing factor. The next morning, Logan is informed that Yashida has died, and attends the funeral, where he saves Mariko from Yakuzaassassins with help from Yashida’s associate Kenuichio Harada, a skilled archer and Mariko’s former lover, who still loves her. In the process, Logan is shot and finds out he is not healing as before.

After fighting more assassins on a bullet train, Logan and Mariko hide in a local hotel. While Mariko sleeps, Logan stands guard outside and experiences another hallucination of Jean before passing out from his injuries. When he awakens, he discovers that Mariko had the hotel owner’s grandson, a veterinarian, stitch him up. Meanwhile, Harada meets with Viper who, after demonstrating her mutant powers on him, demands he find Logan and Mariko.

Logan and Mariko go to Yashida’s house in Nagasaki. As they slowly fall for each other, Logan starts revealing his past to Mariko. Meanwhile, Yukio has a vision of Logan dying, and goes to warn him. However, she is too late and Mariko is captured. After interrogating one of her kidnappers, Logan goes to confront Mariko’s fiance, corrupt Chief of Justice Noburo Mori, who reveals that Shingen has ordered the kidnapping.

At Yashida Corporation’s headquarters, Shingen reveals Yashida has left Mariko his empire, and prepares to kill her when Harada arrives with his Black Ninja clan and Viper; Harada rescues Mariko, while Viper poisons Shingen. They then take Mariko to a research center based in Yashida’s home town.

Arriving at Yashida Corporation with Yukio, Logan uses Yashida’s medical technology to locate the parasite and extract it, but appears to die during the operation. Yukio is attacked by Shingen, who prepares to kill her when Logan awakens and intervenes, killing Shingen. Logan and Yukio then follow Harada and Viper to the research center, where Logan is attacked and captured by Harada and his men.

Logan is placed in a machine by Viper, who reveals her plans to extract his immortality and introduces Logan to her associate, theSilver Samurai, who has an adamantium sword and the ability to charge it with energy to increase its cutting power. After talking with Harada, who believes he is protecting her still, Mariko escapes and manages to direct the machine Logan is in into the Silver Samurai’s sword strike, breaking it and freeing him. Harada sees the error of his ways and is killed by the Silver Samurai while helping Logan escape. Meanwhile, Yukio arrives and defeats Viper by hanging her, while Logan fights the Silver Samurai, who cuts off his adamantium claws and begins to extract Logan’s healing abilities, revealing himself to be Yashida, who had faked his death and starts to regain his youth. Mariko intervenes and stabs Yashida with the discarded claws, giving Logan the opportunity to disable the armor with his bone claws and throw Yashida off a cliff before passing out. While unconscious, Logan hallucinates about Jean in a white room, but decides to finally move on. Before he wakes, Jean remarks that she is all alone there.

Mariko becomes CEO of Yashida Corporation and bids farewell to Logan as he prepares to leave Japan. Yukio vows to stay by Logan’s side as his bodyguard, and they depart to places unknown.

In a post-credits scene, Logan returns to the United States two years after the events in Japan, and watches an ad for Trask Industries and their advances in the field of robotics before being confronted by Magneto(with his powers restored). Magneto announces that Logan’s help is required to stop a new enemy that threatens to exterminate the mutant race. When Logan inquires why he should trust Magneto,Professor Charles Xavier arrives to reassure him. Logan is surprised to see Xavier alive as Xavier reminds Logan that he is not the only one with gifts.

My view of the film

Ok I am not a Huge fan Of Marvel or DC but I do have to say after watching the first film I definitely wanted to watch this one..

you can see now why I was “omg we have to go see this !!”
and let me tell you I was on the edge of my seat ! graphics were Epic and characters I have to say Hugh as always great actor and even better as Logan.
Yukio I was very much taken by this actress there was so much within this, what looked like timid lady that after meeting her on screen showed she was not timid she was a kick ass girl and not to be reckoned with.
the other main characters were also very good, the scene setting and background information given from Tokyo prison of war, the showing of Logan doing good for human Kind was as I can put it heart warming,
this film without giving to much away is a must see !

I have found inspiration from Yukio

After seeing the trailer I decided we would take ladybug to see this film..

I do have to say I love kiddo films it’s amazing how the graphics have changed from when I was a lil lady, the excellent real life extent that sucks you in to your inner kid..

Must add that this was a really good film very enjoyable and funny in parts.

A must watch !! Go take your children eat pop corn and laugh out loud also wipe a tear or two .. Loved it !

there is so much to this story that proves the good and evil, and showing the survival of the forest, nice learning edge for children in how forests grow, even if little people don’t exist it is still nice to look into your inner child and believe ..

Have you been to see this ?? let me know what you thought !
