Entertainment icon Anita Harris (Carry On) and 60’s pop legend of Mark Wynter ( Cats, Dreamboats and Petticoats, The Phantom the Opera ).

Following the phenomenal decade-long success of The Classic Thriller Theatre Company, which sold over two million tickets and continually played to packed houses around the UK, Bill Kenwright presents a new production of one of stage and screen’s all-time classic thrillers, from the pen of the legendary award-winning writing team Levinson and Link, whose work includes the mystery series Murder, She Wrote and Columbo.
Playwright Alex Dennison is left heartbroken when his fiancée and leading lady Monica Welles is found dead from an apparent suicide after the opening night of her stage debut. On the anniversary of that ill-fated night, Alex assembles the same cast and crew in the same theatre, for a reading of his new play. But as the reading begins, it becomes clear that Alex believes that Monica was murdered and his new play is a devious cat-and-mouse chase to uncover her killer…
I have to admit when I received the invite to attend the rehearsal for murder I made an assumption that I’d not like it. Upper Circle tickets are highest I’ve been to see a production in the orchard. Which made it interesting, seeing the different perspectives.
It started with an empty theatre it was as if we the audience wasn’t there, a man comes into the room the weather was awful, thunder and lightning you really could feel the rumbles.
As the scenes unfolded and the story began to transpire it made you feel like it was real, how it jumped from explaining into the acting scene of what was being spoken about.
Have to say it was very enthralling, and I wanted to know more details, the actors were so good and didn’t miss a beat of the story it was seamless.
Without giving it away, the ending wasn’t what I had thought, usually, with thriller and horror movies I’m fairly good at selecting the baddie of the film. However with This one I was flummoxed and it felt good to have the surprise.
So in summary, not a show I’d usually go to However, I’m glad that did, I pre-judged and thought it was going to be uninteresting and not worth my time!
How wrong was I, if you get the chance to go and see it DO!
*I was given tickets to write an honest review.
Have you been to see that before ? what were your thoughts ?

Grow with MAM ! #growwithmam
I’ve signed up to be a MAM Blogger !! yay !!
KK and Monkey helped with the planting part of the campaign,
they filled out the soil in the window box, scattered the seeds and then added water to aid the seeds to grow.
We’re looking forward to seeing how beautiful these flowers bloom. Seedlings usually appear within 14-28 days.
Mesembryanthemum Harlequin are Value for money, low growing, compact and tolerates dry conditions. perfect for UK weather Conditions.

Little helping hands, much like swapping to MAM Anti-Colic Self-Sterilising bottles, can make a huge difference.
Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story on Stage. Full of passion and romance, heart-pounding music and sensationally sexy dancing, the record-breaking musical is even better than before in this all-new production.
The classic story of Baby and Johnny returns, following two blockbusters West End, runs and two hit UK Tours, featuring the hit songs Hungry Eyes, Hey! Baby, Do You Love Me? and the heart stopping (I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life.
It’s the summer of 1963, and 17 year- old Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman is about to learn some major lessons in life as well as a thing or two about dancing. On holiday in New York’s Catskill Mountains with her older sister and parents, she shows little interest in the resort activities and instead discovers her own entertainment when she stumbles across an all-night dance party at the staff quarters. Mesmerised by the raunchy dance moves and the pounding rhythms, Baby can’t wait to be part of the scene, especially when she catches sight of Johnny Castle the resort dance instructor. Her life is about to change forever as she is thrown in at the deep end as Johnny’s leading lady both on-stage and off, two fiercely independent young spirits from different worlds come together in what will be the most challenging and triumphant summer of their lives.
I’ve had the time of my life! .The lyrics were ringing in my ears, as I think of Dirty Dancing and the want to being able to dance how Penny and Johnny’s dance entwined and in sync with one another.
Ah, I can Dream!
I was able to get the fantastic opportunity to see this show to review for the blog.
It’s been a while since I had a night out with mum, and as it was her birthday I thought mum would be the best person to come and enjoy the show, and if she’s lucky enough a meal as well haha!
Once I picked up the tickets from the lovely Michelle, we were ready to be seated! And we were pleasantly surprised with the seat choice.
Like when we went to see The Rocky Horror show here.
Unfortunately, there was no photography allowed. So I wasn’t able to snap anything other than a cheeky selfie with mum and the neon stage light up!
If you are anything like me and get hung up on non-original characters of films and shows, and how important it is that they bear a resemblance to the original actor.
All I can say was I think the cast chosen were great! If you closed your eyes, it would be like you were listening to the originals.
I do also think the late Patrick Swayze would be happy with the choice of Johnny even though his hair was like Johnny Bravo hehe.
There were some hilarious parts and wow I was amazed at how they managed the water scene that bit was something that I was thinking how will they do that!
But I didn’t need to worry it was fantastic! Well done to all production involved!
It was quite funny at that scene in the bedroom best part all the women in the audience were sat on the edge of their seat waiting for it to start, was quite funny.
Would recommend people to see this show I’d say a 4-star rating it was fantastic the stage and props moving choreography were well executed!
A rather enjoyable evening !!
Have you seen Dirty Dancing? If so what did you enjoy about it?
